Contract Technical Writer - Cheyenne, WY
We have an immediate need for a contract technical writer for our client in Cheyenne, WY. The contract writer will be onsite to write process (operating and maintenance) documentation for an oil refinery company. You will interview subject matter experts, observe the processes, and write procedures which may include graphics/screen shots.
Skills and Experience Needed:
- 5 or more years of technical writing experience
- Experience writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) or Manufacturing Operating Procedures (MOPs)
- Experience creating documentation in the oil refinery or chemical industry preferred
- Experience with Vanguard software preferred (if not, training will be provided)
- Experience creating documentation from scratch and adhering to corporate guidelines
- Self starter who can work independently and meet deadlines
If we interview you, please have samples ready. If you are hired, we require a drug test and background check. There is no relocation assistance for this job. You will also be required to carry General Liability Insurance and Workers Compensation Insurance as well as provide proof of auto insurance. If you do not have the General Liability and Workers Comp, we can work with you on this.
Duration: 1 year
Rate: $30/hr on 1099
