Contract Technical Writers - NH and MA
We are always looking for contract technical writers for on-going 1099 contract work to support our technical documentation projects.
Skills and Experience Needed:
- 5 or more years of demonstrated excellence in technical writing
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to interview Subject Matters Experts (SMEs) and extract pertinent information
- Ability to work independently and self manage
- Ability to write for different audiences
- Experience creating documentation for localization
- Experience working with multi-site and offshore software development and engineering teams
- Experience working single-sourcing strategies, CMS applications, structured writing
- Proficient in one or more of the following applications:
Adobe Authorware, Adobe FrameMaker (Structured and Unstructured), Adobe InDesign, Adobe RoboHelp, Arbortext Epic, AuthorIT, Madcap Flare, Microsoft Word/Office, SnagIT, Quadralay WebWorks
- Must be a self starter who can work independently and meet deadlines
If we interview you, please have samples ready. If you are hired, we require a background check (and a drug test if you are to work at a client site). You will also be required to carry General Liability Insurance and Workers Compensation Insurance. If you do not have the General Liability and Workers Comp, we can work with you on this.
